History

In 1984, Dan Aderholt and principals in the full-service brokerage firm Hazlett Burt & Watson formed Century Equities, Inc. primarily for the purpose of structuring safe and solid real estate investment opportunities. The goal was to provide this old-line firm, founded in 1883, with private placement products to meet the needs of its conservative clients.

Even during the tax shelter “heyday” of the early 1980’s, Century created economically oriented partnerships with straightforward structuring and significant cash returns, all while avoiding the “blue smoke and mirrors” approach common in many partnerships by full and fair disclosure of fee structures.

Over time, Mr. Aderholt acquired 100% ownership of Century Equities, Inc., and broadened its range of capabilities by offering its regional clientele investment banking services in the areas of acquisition, financing and capital formation, while continuing to structure sound real estate investments for partners and clients.

Century has continued this modest, steady growth through today by exercising great caution in its real estate acquisition and business ventures. Now, twenty six years after its founding, Century has been involved in the purchase or acquisition of over $300 million worth of real estate as either general partner, principal, or advisor and offers a broad array of real estate, investment, and advisory services.
